First published in 1857, Pulman's Weekly News is one of Devon's oldest and most respected paid-for newspapers. Published on Friday, price 45p, the core news coverage area is the Axe and Lym Valleys, covering the towns of Seaton, Axminster, Honiton and Lyme Regis and surrounding villages. The newspaper also circulates throughout East Devon, West Dorset and South Somerset. In March 2007 Pulman's celebrated its 150th anniversary in the company of The Countess of Wessex and other dignitaries. In March 2009 Pulman's Weekly News acquired View from Axminster, Honiton, Crewkerne, Seaton & Colyton. These titles replaced the Chard, Crewkerne, Ottery & Honiton Advertisers.
