Ottery St Mary Choral Society's (OSMCS) designated charity for 2013-14, Hospiscare, is more than £600 better off. OSMCS's Liz Hooper thanked supporters and sponsors during a recent cheque presentation. She said: “Special thanks go to our sponsors Gilbert Stephens Solicitors, Otter Nurseries and Every’s Solicitors for their invaluable support over the last year. “Thanks are also due to our audiences who gave so generously to Hospiscare through retiring collections, following each of our concerts. “Money was also raised by society members themselves with the grand raffle at our annual dinner for 2014. The final amount donated to Hospiscare was £660, which was received by Margery Whittington, chairman of the local support group. The choral society is currently taking a summer break from rehearsals, which will resume in September.
