OTTERY: Volunteers thanked

Thursday, 12 June 2014

The efforts of hard-working volunteers from the Ottery St Mary, Sidmouth and Clyst Vale Children’s Centres were recognised at a special event this week, organised by the Action For Children charity. Helpers from the three centres, which are run by the charity, came together for a volunteer celebration at the Younghayes Centre in Cranbrook on Wednesday (June 4th), and were presented with certificates in conjunction with National Volunteers Week. Action For Children’s Participation Co-ordinator Catherine Hill said: “We have had 24 active volunteers over the last couple of years in a variety of roles across our three children’s centres in East Devon - a big thank you to all the volunteers who have worked so hard.” Some of the volunteers are pictured alongside advisory board members and Devon County Councillor Claire Wright (centre).
