HONITON: Hospice charity auction

Thursday, 12 June 2014

UP?FOR?GRABS | Fundraisers working to support a charity cash appeal for a new Hospiscare day centre in Honiton are to join with big names from the world of art for a glittering champagne cocktail party and auction event later this month. The work of 26 high profile artists will be exhibited in the ‘Art Extra’ event at the Old Pavilion, near Honiton, over the weekend of June 28th and 29th. Guests will have the chance to buy or bid, with most of the sale proceeds going towards the charity’s appeal. The day centre fundraising effort has been well-supported in the town and construction work is now underway on the King Street site, following demolition of the previous building. Head fundraiser Sarah Smith is pictured alongside a bronze horse statue – one of the valuable items to be exhibited over the weekend. Tickets for the one-off event can be purchased via Hospiscare on 01392 688020 or by emailing events@hospiscare.co.uk
