AXMINSTER: Chilli gets a silver at Crufts

Wednesday, 19 March 2014

A dog from Alston, near Axminster, was part of a four-strong team which clinched a silver medal at Crufts in Birmingham.
Five-year-old collie-cross spaniel Chilli joined team-mates from Taunton and Bridgwater to contest the medium team category for the Blackdown Agility Society.
Nine teams took part and, after having safely negotiated the semi-final stage, the Blackdown team finished second in the final. Chilli's proud owner Selena Short said this particular category is based on the dogs' ability to negotiate a course of obstacles at speed.
Selena has five dogs and competes with two of them.
She is on the dog show circuit most weekends and said: "It's my job and my hobby."
