SEATON: A night at the races

Thursday, 06 March 2014

Due to the ever increasing costs of running the carnival, Seaton Carnival Committee are having extra fundraising events throughout the year to help it the carnival continue in Seaton.
Seaton Carnival Race Night will take place on Saturday, March 22nd with doors opening at 7pm for a 7:30pm start at The Gateway, Seaton Town Hall. Entry is free, and all the family are welcome to come along.
There will be eight horse races played on the big screen. Cash prizes and great donated gifts to the value of £600 will be given on the night.
For the sport lovers there are two tickets to an Exeter Chiefs rugby match, two tickets to see Yeovil Town FC and a signed photograph of the Exeter City Football team.
Tickets to Powerham Castle, Diggerland, Watermouth Castle and The Tank Museum for wonderful days out with all the family will also be on offer.
There are other great prizes including a two course meal for two at Cinnamons in Axminster, a gift pack from Sheppy Cider, Otter Brewery and Lyme Bay Winery.
Also free swims at Flamingo Pool, Axminster and many more prizes kindly donated to Seaton Carnival.
Seaton Carnival Committee would like to thank all the businesses that donated prizes and to the race sponsorships.
Last year’s race night was a great success and many guests asked the carnival to organise it again. A total of £700 was won on the night and great fun was had by all.
