HONITON: Police look for dog owner after attack

Honiton police are trying to trace a woman whose dog attacked another dog.
The owner of the attacked dog was injured when trying to separate the animals.
The incident happened in the morning of Wednesday, January 29th in Millhead Road, near the junction with Milldale Crescent.
The incident happened at about 8.30am and PCSO Steve Mingo said: “A white West Highland terrier was bitten by another dog.
“During the incident, an injury to a finger was sustained by the walker of the terrier whilst trying to separate the two dogs.
“The offending dog is described as a stocky brown and black dog which was possibly a ‘staffie’, bulldog or similar being walked by a child aged approximately 6-7 years old.
“It was reported by witnesses that the mother of the child was not far behind with another dog.
“Police are keen to speak to the family involved or anybody who may have witnessed the incident.”
