HONITON: Wyn and Geena are on their way to Crufts

Friday, 07 February 2014

Wyn Leney and Geena Olney, who are both from the Honiton area, are off to one of Europe's biggest dog shows, Crufts.
The local pair managed to get through the stringent trials process to gain a place on the Kennel Club Good Citizen Gold display team.
The demonstrations show the strength of bond between handler and dog using good communication, command and obedience with an added element of fun.
The displays will be held over the weekend of March 8th and 9th at the NEC, Birmingham; one is taking place in the main ring before ‘Best in Show’ is televised on Sunday.
Wyn,with her Chinese crested cross breed dog Hunnie, runs local dog club Bordercombe Dog Training. She has been to Crufts before doing heelwork to music displays with a team of 10 dogs and handlers; Geena regularly works on local shoots with her working cocker spaniel, Aimee.
