Busy year ahead for the Ottery twinnners

Friday, 07 February 2014

Ottery Twinning Association is about to draw up its programme of events for this year.
Member Keith Spittlehouse said: “After the wet and windy weather in the New Year, the 2013 twinning activities are now becoming distant memories and uppermost in Ottery twinners minds are their plans for 2014.
“These plans will be discussed in detail at the annual general meeting to be held on February 19th at West Hill Village Hall, starting at 7.30pm.
“Outline proposals include a weekend visit from Pont l’Eveque, our French twin town, at the end of May and a visit to Ilsfeld, the German equivalent near Stuttgart, at the end of June.
“The latter is somewhat special since it is the 10th anniversary of the signing of the twinning charter in Ilsfeld.
“We will also be planning our support of West Hill Village Fete and organise a treasure hunt later in the year.
“For our regular supporters this is a reminder of the date of the AGM and to anyone interested in twinning, a warm invitation to join us for nibbles and a glass of wine on February 19th at West Hill Village Hall.”
