SEATON: New sport crosses football and golf

Wednesday, 18 December 2013

Axe Cliff Golf and Country Club in Axmouth is launching a new venture to attract visitors to the club during the winter months.
The club is hosting the FootGolf Open on Saturday, December 21st.
FootGolf is a cross between football and golf where players aim to strike a football into an oversized hole using their feet instead of clubs.
Axe Cliff is home to the first 18 hole FootGolf course in the South West, and is aiming to kick start the new hybrid sport with its pre-Christmas event.
Players can tee off between 10:30am and 2:30pm on Saturday and a full 18-hole round costs £15.
On the following day, Sunday December 22nd, the course will be open for general FootGolf play between 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
To book your tee time contact Tom Barwell on 07720 850017 or email tombarwell@footgolfengland.co.uk
