AXMINSTER: Band perform for host of showbiz veterans

AXMINSTER’S “band of Brothers” Wise Intentions performed for a host of showbiz veterans at a pretigious event in London.
The band were invited to play at the The Heritage Foundation Christmas Dinner held at the Marriot Hotel, Regents Park, London which also honoured Bernard Cribbins OBE 70 years in show business.
The band played in front of a crowd of more than 200 guests, comprising of celebrities, VIPs and friends of Mr Cribbins.
Tributes were paid to Mr Cribbins with speeches from Heritage Foundation’s President and actress Vicki Michelle MBE (Yvette in Allo Allo) and Chairman David Graham; comedian Barry Crier; actress Jenny Agutter (The Railway Children); songwriter, musician, producer and conductor Mike Batt LVO (Bright Eyes, creator the Wombles); Jess Conrad OBE to name a few.
Brothers, Scott (18), Grant (21) and Blake(20), known were honoured to play at such an event, and performed a short but lively acoustic set, getting the audience dancing and into the Christmas spirit.
Vicki Michelle MBE said afterwards that she “loved it!”
Mr Cribbins was even kind enough to spend time with Wise Intentions before he left, including having his photo taken with them.
n “ShelterBox” (international disaster relief charity) has benefited from Wise Intentions, with the brothers selling their debut single “To Help Them” to raise money for the Japanese Earthquake victims. All profits went to ShelterBox and Wise Intentions want to help the Philippines by selling more copies, both available on iTunes and CD.
