A CAR was written off after it caught fire in Andrewshayes Lane, Dalwood.
The fire started at about 7.40pm on Tuesday, October 8th and one fire appliance from Axminster attended.
A spokesman from the fire and rescue service said: “Fire crews confirmed one vehicle well alight on a private driveway and extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus wearers and two hose reel jets. “Fire crews checked the vehicle for remaining hot spots using a thermal image camera.
“The vehicle was severely damaged by fire throughout and the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.”
A CAR and a caravan were broken into when parked in the Knights Lane area of All Saints at some point between 9pm on Friday, October 4th and 11am the following day.
A laptop computer and a sat nav were taken.
Anybody with information is asked to call police on 101 and quote crime number KA/13/544.
A SMALL chimney fire died out before firefighters arrived to a thatched property in Holy City, near Axminster.
Firefighters were called at 10.35am on Monday, October 7th and two appliances from Chard were despatched.
A spokesperson for the fire and rescue service said: “The fire was believed to be out and crews used a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire was extinguished.”
MONEY has been stolen from a honesty box at Scouse Lane in Hawkchurch.
The theft took place overnight between October 7th and 8th.
Anyone with information that may help police is asked to call the force switchboard on 101. The crime reference is KA/13/551.
