SEATON: ‘Fashion Night Out’ to be the event of the winter season
Thursday, 17 October 2013
Get ready for a night of fashion revelry – Seaton will be having it’s very first ‘Fashion Night Out’ on November 1st.
Grove Zero founder Sophie O’Connell and Peekaboo’s Becci Fry-Gwyther are working in partnership with the Grove Niteclub to help raise funds for Hospiscare.
Louise Beeken, Community Fundraiser for Hospiscare, said: “What is there not to love about this event. Fashion, beauty, music and a free glass of wine, with the added bonus that you are raising money for a local cause.
“Hospiscare is the local charity caring for people who are living with a terminal illness; helping them and their families through the last few months and days of life.
“We do this through our community nurses who visit families in their homes, our day care centre in Seaton and our hospice in Exeter. We cannot give extra time, but our holistic approach means that we can help people make the most of the time they have together.”
Event organiser Sophie O’Connell said: “Hospiscare provides invaluable support to patients and their families through real times of crisis in Seaton and the surrounding area, so we really want to raise as much money as humanly possible for the charity on the night.
“This will be Seaton’s very first Fashion Night Out and we want to really mark this occasion by celebrating real women.
“We’ll have models in all shapes and sizes showcasing Peekaboo’s Winter 2013 collection, and modelling in our beauty demos.
“We also want to use this as an opportunity to show off the talent working in our local salons, and the demos are the perfect way to demonstrate their skills, whilst also allowing everyone to have a bit of fun!
“This will be the second time I have worked with the Grove Niteclub and I am really pleased with the support they are giving us in making Fashion Night Out happen.
“We believe that if done right, not only will this be the event of the winter season, but hopefully the event of future spring/summer and autumn/winter seasons!”
Fashion Night Out is for over 18s only and entry is £10, with 100 per cent of the entry fee going to Hospiscare. Doors will open at 7pm with everyone being welcomed to the venue with a complementary drink. The first 25 people will receive a goody bag.
The night will feature the Peekaboo Winter 2013 collection, hair and beauty demos, music from 10pm-3am, and a photo booth provided by Sue Draycott Photography. Each print will cost £5 with £2 from every print going straight to Hospiscare.
If a night full of fashion indulgence isn’t enough, there will also be a prize draw with what Sophie describes as an “Unholy amount of shopping vouchers, alcohol and girly goodies” included in the prizes.
