OTTERY: Volunteer at hospital
Tuesday, 17 June 2014
Ottery St Mary Hospital is on the lookout for new additions to its team of volunteers and staff will be hosting an open day today (Tuesday, June 17th) where residents can find out how they can lend a hand. Visitors will be shown around the ward, outpatient, minor injury, physiotherapy and X-ray areas, as well as the recently refurbished Rowan and Linden dementia centre. Current volunteering opportunities include stewarding the reception desk and serving refreshments to patients. Matron Mickie Dicks (left) will be hosting two sessions at the hospital, starting in the Elliott Room, at 2.30pm and 3.45pm. Also pictured are team leader Gaynor Appleby (centre) and acting deputy matron Kathy Killick.
