SEATON: Lions gift new books to primary school

Tuesday, 27 May 2014

Seaton and District Lions have donated £300 towards the cost of purchasing new reading books for Seaton Primary School. Seaton & District Lions recently received a letter from Kay McFarlane, a Year Six teacher and the Head of Teaching and Learning at Seaton Primary School, asking for a donation towards the cost of purchasing a new reading scheme and books for the school. The brand new reading scheme is motivating and exciting, designed to raise achievement levels significantly in reading, comprehension and writing. Two of the Seaton Lions Club members visited the school to handover the cheque. Pictured right are Lions president George Mabon and Lion Janine Barradale together with Seaton Primary Schools head girl Poppy and head boy Jacob receiving the presentation cheque.
