EAST DEVON: Tractor Trundle raises £1,000
Wednesday, 21 May 2014
A TRACTOR Trundle was enjoyed by family and friends from Chardstock Vintage Tractor and Machinery Club on Bank Holiday Monday, May 5th. There was a halfway stop at the Old Inn in Hawkchurch and a tasty ploughman’s lunch was enjoyed by drivers when they returned to Chardstock, which was beautifully prepared and presented by Glo Fowler and her staff, Mary, Betty and Diane. The trundle took in the rural sights of Hawkchurch, Fishponds near Marshwood and an off-road track at Forde Abbey. Thanks go to everyone who was involved in organising the event, from the committee to the members and their families, and the public who came to watch for their generosity. The trundle raised in excess of a £1,000 for the club’s nominated charities namely, the Devon, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulances and another undecided charity.
