HONITON: Honiton man dies in tanker collision

A Honiton man has died after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a milk tanker on Sunday (May 18th). The incident occurred on the A35 Kings Road at the entrance to Hale Farm, at around 3:45pm. The 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and police say they will not be releasing further details of the individuals involved at this time. The road was closed for seven hours before being reopened at around 11:15pm. A police spokesperson said: “The collision occurred approximately one mile east of Honiton at the entrance to Hale Farm. A 750cc Kawasaki motorcycle and a milk collection tanker were involved in the collision. “Next of kin for a 49-year-old male motorcyclist from Honiton have been informed. “The road was closed for over seven hours while an investigation of the scene took place and the vehicles were recovered. The tanker containing milk had to be pumped out before recovery.”
