SIDMOUTH: Uplifting performance from gospel choir

Thursday, 15 May 2014

THE Sidmouth Gospel Choir

THE Sidmouth Gospel Choir

Sidmouth Gospel Choir recently performed at All Saints Church to raise money for The Rotary Club’s general fund which supports many worthy causes and local charities. The choir was founded by Angela Carney and they have been singing together since 2003. “If We Ever Needed The Lord Before”, sung by soloist Sue Packer, opened the evening’s performance. Louise Jones, John Montgomery and Kim Pritchard – leading the alto, tenor, and soprano sections - also sang solo performances, and a moving rendition of “Create In Me A Clean Heart” sung by Geoff Chappell was a joy to listen to. At the piano accompanying the choir was Sam Salmon who, with Kim Pritchard, performed “Because Of Who You Are”. The evening was rounded off by an uplifting rendition of “Dance Like David” by soloist Daniel Loveday. Anyone wanting to find out more about Sidmouth Gospel Choir can find them on Facebook or visit sidmouthgospelchoir.co.uk.
