AXMINSTER: Tool staff to jump for hospice charity
Thursday, 15 May 2014
GOING UP: Team members (l-r) Ben Vine, Craig Steele, Maddie Edwards, Karl Moore, Charlotte Vincent and Chris Long. Missing are Katie Reid, David Jones and Dom Tait.
Nine intrepid Axminster Tools & Machinery employees will rise to the challenge in early August when skydiving in aid of the company’s chosen charity for 2014, Hospiscare. The team’s target is £3,550, some of which will contribute towards the building of the charity’s new hospice centre in Honiton. The jump will take place from 15,000 feet and the organiser, retail administrator Maddie Edwards, said: “I have taken part in a few running races before for charity and wanted to do something slightly different this year. “After asking around I managed to get a group of nine together. “None of us have done this before so we are all very excited, and scared! “ If anyone would like to support this event by donating to Hospiscare, this can be done by texting ATMH50 plus the amount you want to donate to 70070 or by visiting www.justgiving.com/Team-AxminsterTM. The jump is scheduled to take place at Dunkeswell Airfield on Sunday, August 3rd.
