OTTERY: Green-fingered Rotarians visit Otter Nurseries

Tuesday, 06 May 2014

ABOUT 25 members of the Axminster Rotary Club and their partners visited Otter Nurseries for a tour of the greenhouses and a talk about the propagation of thousands of bedding plants, specialist and unusual plants. Amazed by the dedication of the staff to producing seemingly acres of young plants from the cuttings and shoots of other plants, members, many of them keen gardeners themselves, asked questions about horticulture and received very knowledgable and interesting replies. Members finally enjoyed an excellent meal in the Otter Nurseries Restaurant where Rotarian Bill Coltham, acting president elect, thanked Rotarian Bernie Styles for his hard work in the organisation of the visit.
