AXMINSTER: Firefighters remove unsafe guttering

Thursday, 01 May 2014

Police cordoned off part of Axminster town centre to allow firefighters to remove unsafe guttering. Officers were called to the scene in Victoria Place at about 11.20 am on Sunday after reports of loose and potentially dangerous guttering on the Martin’s Newsagent building. A cordon was put in place and traffic diverted around the town centre whilst firefighters removed the guttering. There were no reports of injuries and police say the cordon was removed at about 1.35pm.

Two people were taken to hospital after a two-car accident in Lyme Road, Axminster on Friday afternoon.
