AXMINSTER: Aspire pupils visit university

Thursday, 01 May 2014

Axe Valley Community College students met legal professionals and law students when visiting University of Exeter. The visitors, who also included primary school pupils from the Axminster area, travelled as part of the college’s ASPIRE Law Project (for gifted students in a particular subject). The day trip included a tour of the campus, a law seminar and a mock trial. Erika Borley of University of Exeter said: “Working on the ASPIRE Law project has been a real privilege, and I am incredibly grateful to Axe Valley Community College for inviting us to be involved. “Throughout the term I have been continually impressed and inspired by the students’ enthusiasm, energy and intellectual ability, and I hope that many of them will consider pursuing a career in law.”
