Trekking around town for charity

Thursday, 01 May 2014

TOP TREKKERS: More than 800 staff and students at Sidmouth College took in the school’s sponsored walk, trekking 20 kilometres round the town to raise money for Devon Air Ambulance. Walkers were wearing red in support of the charity, and set out on the 12-mile course in groups from 9am on Friday morning of last week. The route took competitors through the Byes, along the seafront, up Peak Hill, across Mutters Moor and through Colaton Raleigh, before heading back towards the finish line at the college. Year seven students Cole Monaghan and Sam Pyne (pictured) were the first ones across the line in a time of just under four hours.
