BEER: Daylight burglary

Tuesday, 22 April 2014

More than £1,500 worth of valuable items have been stolen from a home in Beer, and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The daylight burglary occurred between 8am and 4:30pm on Thursday, April 10th, and offenders made off with a range of expensive items as well as £50 cash taken from a child’s piggy bank. Offenders forced open a ground floor window of the property in Park Road, before stuffing the valuables into two pillowcases. Among the items stolen were an iPad and iPad mini, iPod, Samsung Galaxy mobile phone and items of jewellery including bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings and 20 Marcasite brooches. Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area on the day of the offence. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference KN/14/139.
